Show transcript
TheEagleHasLanded: Different uh tangori Pages they ain't going to have landed.
Ekke: Yeah the eagle has landed in this case the eagle is the certification program.
Leon: Yeah finally it's it's been a long time.
Ekke: And uh so we're going to talk with Ruth chisley about that in the middle of this episode.
Leon: Mhm yeah.
Ekke: Um before we go there we have uh the usual.
Ekke: Things to discuss uh news in the mic versions news around the mic ecosystem and um.
Ekke: In the community and everything that's relevant.
Leon: Oh well you could call it the usual.
Ekke: Yeah but that's not a bad thing okay why did we start.
Leon: Yeah I think the most important thing we should actually talk about is the fundraiser situation right.
Ekke: Oh yes yeah we did uh talked about the need for money like 2 episodes ago,
Ekke: and that has now condensed into the fundraiser effort both motor community so we need to raise certain amount of money I think minimum 40K goals 50k for this year to close a gap that,
Ekke: well that happened because of some some circumstances that's all described in the fundraiser page,
Ekke: and also log page for that currently I think we're at 13 K so there's a good way to go and everybody who's using more Tech.
Ekke: Um
Ekke: Maybe makes money of mortach or uses modic for their own business Etc should absolutely feel obliged to chip in some money too.
Leon: Totally totally agree yeah.
Ekke: Big number of of people uh contributed like 50 or 100 uh dollar,
Ekke: whatever Deutsch block um some organizations contributed like 4 digit numbers of of money I think that's totally appropriate and we need that that or we need both of that,
Ekke: to make the progress that we need so you,
Ekke: can feel free to to interrupt listening at this point and then go straight to moderate dog 2026 hyphen fundraiser,
Ekke: um or do this later of course.
Leon: And I think you've come back now from opening your wallet and making more go further I'd say we can talk about the release that happened since the last episode.
Ekke: No first thank you so much.
Ekke: No let's talk about the release.
Leon: Yeah 7.1 um release candidate actually got released like 1 week ago or something like that.
Leon: Um and it does contain a bunch of new features a bit of bug fixes bit of UI changes here and there and I think 1 of the,
Leon: yeah my personal favorite is the consolidation of form types this was 1 we actually kicked off in Prague at the Sprint last year,
Leon: where we thought okay why do we even have 2 form times can we not just put them together have 1 and this is finally the version where we reached that and.
Ekke: Yeah so when you click a new form then you just create a new form you don't you're not no longer have this question whether it's a campaign form or a segment form.
Leon: Standalone form but yeah.
Ekke: I'm sorry.
Leon: Yeah yeah pretty cool also I think um the marketplace got a bit more featured this this page this a release you now have um review and rating for the plug-in which is pretty cool.
Ekke: Um I have to admit I I have not seen that yet I think reviews and ratings are super big deal um and if that's really there wow I'm I can't wait.
Leon: Got a check for myself too,
Leon: also um I think 1 of our own personal development got merged into that that is displaying plug-in versions um when looking at your plugins it now says um which version you actually have,
Leon: which.
Ekke: Yeah that's.
Ekke: Pretty pretty small technically it also is pretty small but it's super helpful of course it only works if the version is properly maintained by.
Leon: Exactly.
Ekke: Maintainer if you're in a composer installed deployed whatever world then that's a no-brainer.
Leon: Sure yeah.
Ekke: In other environments maybe not so helpful.
Ekke: Yeah and uh by the way the consolidation of forms was also implemented by our team name namely by Patrick uh so thanks Patrick cool cool job.
Leon: I don't think we've got a couple more things we're looking at my little list here I think the nhi filter 1 is also pretty interesting.
Ekke: Yeah right this is not this non-human interaction thing that we know when we talk about fighting.
Ekke: Machine clicks and emails like like some security device clicking all links and and voluntarily what's the word in.
Ekke: Accidentally uh clicking unsubscribe links Etc so that's not about this this is more about landing pages and Boards coming to that that landing page isn't doing things but it's a cool thing nonetheless.
Leon: Yeah but pretty important feature I love to see that some like things like that also make their way into the core um.
Ekke: Oh yeah yeah that that's more stuff uh like on the technical side like like we now have as my email signature,
Ekke: uh we we have on the user interface user experience and uh a lot of refinements,
Ekke: 7 did did bring a ton of or a whole no UI anyway and then this is now further refinements on that 1.
Ekke: We also have like a lot of modern modernization of course new symphony minor version uh now supporting php8 for ETC lot of things under the hood which which users don't really care about but feels good to know,
Ekke: and of course bug fixes bug fixes left and right and um uh it's it's pretty.
Ekke: Pretty stable I mean it's it's it's a very stable it's a way more stable than other versions were were like like 5 point something or 5 RC.
Leon: Yeah.
Ekke: But it is still not the LTS long-term stability or long-term support version and I think it's important to remind people of that so,
Ekke: there will be a 7.2 there will be a 7.3 and only then we have a freeze on features,
Ekke: and also freeze on changes there is no breaking changes but there are changes under the hood for instance if you are a plug-in developer,
Ekke: you may have to adjust your custom code to the changes in 7.1,
Ekke: and and and 7.2 and 7.3 so um it's good to to do things early but you need to be aware,
Ekke: that things may change until we reach the stable long-term stab stability version 7.3,
Ekke: and the same true true for users things may change um not completely break but but change.
Leon: Absolutely.
Ekke: And um yeah we we did address that before that our strategy is,
Ekke: not to use any prelt version in uh in production unless there's a good reason there there are can always be a good reason for that.
Leon: Right so we're waiting for the 7.3 release and um when we're talking about.
Ekke: 3 let's let's start with 7.1.
Leon: Yeah like.
Ekke: Oh oh yeah yeah yeah sorry.
Leon: But um yeah that's not the only release we had the 7.1 release candidate we also had a a bunch of security releases for modic 427 I guess,
Leon: so we fixed all like our own modic are usually modx 5 we have all them pumped up to modic 5.2.10 now
Leon: and um you out there should do the same rather from 7 down to 5 and even if you're still running for um and
Leon: you are running security with because you might not have elt at think about it they're still coming out security fixes here and there and it's really important to stay secure right.
Ekke: Yeah we were handling personal data in in in masses so there's no excuse for not doing security updates.
Ekke: Okay next up um in the ecosystem there was a big surprise when uh our friends friends at uh torn media down under in Australia.
Ekke: Um
Ekke: Just dropped a new media manager at least a a video about a new a media manager so the thing where you organize your uh images typically maybe other things um,
Ekke: and,
Ekke: use them for emails and landing pages um the the old media manager well it it was there there was also some improvements like yay we have subfolders,
Ekke: but uh other than that uh still looks really aged and and really,
Ekke: clunky and this 1 is the complete difference the complete opposite it it is a a good-looking but also brings a ton of features and I know you tried it a lot,
Ekke: yeah.
Leon: Yeah I mean the the feel of it it's uh compared to the L finder for example which has been in the core for quite a while now and it just offers so much um yeah just features that you would love to have,
Leon: media image for media,
Leon: manager uh that's the word for example you can crop your images um it offers when you upload an image it,
Leon: offers resizing um that automatically creates a variant of smaller images of what you've uploaded you can tag images you have a better search for the images you've tagged you have,
Leon: folders and even Dynamic folders We can say hey all my images tagged with tag XYZ should appear here,
Leon: so just feels very natural and flowy and not so clunky and you also can um,
Leon: upload your pictures from the menu so there's a new menu item for it,
Leon: and when you open your email in the grapesjs Builder for example and click on an image you now have a new model for the Builder you've just installed,
Leon: and can um click drag and drop your images from there so it just feels very yeah just complete comparison to what we now have.
Ekke: It's it's it's super crazy because this has so many features you can even edit your images and put text on it and and all but I think for to me 1 of The Big G game changers is,
Ekke: a the cropping and B the resizing because we all know the situations where user upload their 5 GB 5 megabyte photos and then the new email.
Leon: Gigabyte will also be a problem.
Ekke: Maybe no but but also you don't want a 5 megabyte uh photo in in your email and so you can now say okay this is the,
Ekke: pixel's I I said I want here so so scale it down to exactly that size and you only have like under 120k Maybe.
Ekke: Yeah so yeah big props to uh Dwayne um,
Ekke: and uh again it's not yet public I'm not sure about his plans but making this public but I totally hope it's going going to be soon and we find a good solution.
Leon: Oh 1 thing we didn't mention is the version that actually compatible with because in the Forum thread way positive video it stated it's working for modx7 but I've tested for modx 76 and 5 and there were all compatible so.
Leon: Looking forward to that.
Ekke: And then composer Jason it says 5 to 7 yeah incredible stuff yeah what else um.
Ekke: There was a new web hook receiver so so this little,
Ekke: thing that allows bounce handling uh through the modern way for send grid so people who use send grid for sending out their emails um they can now receive all the bounce information from this email provider,
Ekke: and let that go to the mic system there is something we have in other places as well like Amazon SAS or or mailjet and that's of course,
Ekke: really important the traditional way of doing that is,
Ekke: send bounces to an e-mail folder we check that email email folder frequently and then then,
Ekke: turn that into do not contact information um.
Ekke: We also have like internally a a Web book receiver for another email provider called scaleway that's 1 of those European folks,
Ekke: uh so when you we have this thing of of gdpr um.
Ekke: People don't want to send through us or or non-european uh entities so scaleway is is a French provider I guess yeah it's French and we have a web hook receiver custom for them.
Ekke: In the end um we are at a point where we think ah there must be a better thing than than Reinventing the wheel turning again.
Ekke: So um.
Ekke: This is wishful thinking maybe or maybe some Somebody Sometime picks up this ball and then just creates it but it would be great if we had a single web hook receiver that can be just,
Ekke: customer or configured to to,
Ekke: received the web hook it the way it comes from provider XYZ Maps it to the right things that we need.
Ekke: And the in the modic going to contact a table and um and be happy and be super flexible.
Leon: That would be great to have like 1 common plug-in which is plug and play and you don't have 1 plugin for each possible.
Ekke: Yeah or or no plug-in right.
Leon: Oh no plugin will be even better.
Ekke: Yeah I mean but but it means there's so many email providers that we don't support with the web receiver.
Leon: Exactly.
Ekke: Uh yeah we see so if somebody's interested uh we can certainly discuss the details or if somebody wants to sponsor that wow.
Leon: We're we're very happy to do it yeah um I think not everybody just uses mailjet or I think there's also the need for like when you have yourself hosted environment.
Ekke: Oh there's a growing need of course because even better than using European instead of a non-european uh email service providers um,
Ekke: if you are a serious host or yourself then you could also think about serious emails sending,
Ekke: uh through whatever if you're talking about low numbers that doesn't have to be a big deal if you talk about Millions per day you have to put more,
Ekke: more pregnant to that maybe but it's it's a good thing and and we have very good experience with that.
Leon: Yeah totally agree but like that there is more to that right like categorization of bounces handling of that Etc.
Ekke: Yeah well well first of all this good old traditional way of of IMAP,
Ekke: um that does have uh categorization of bounces so if you see this pattern or SMTP code and then these words Etc then we know this is soft bounce,
Ekke: and or it's a hard bounce or something else like spam detection,
Ekke: um that's important to to understand or to interpret whatever comes back from these non-standard uh messages from from email providers but,
Ekke: uh so we can do that for IMAP and we could use iMap for it but it is a pain and um.
Ekke: The other the better way is to use web hooks for the for that ourselves so just let the.
Ekke: Bounces go to a certain email receiver MX uh and have some some piece of software that turns that into a web hook and then sends it into our modic system just like um.
Ekke: The the commercial email providers do.
Leon: No exactly.
Ekke: And to be very powerful and direct their the other thing is of course okay this nice categorization.
Ekke: That works for IMAP already,
Ekke: uh we would have to hook that into this process as well but okay I I I think it's it's a picture forming there and would be.
Ekke: Would would take more to another level or in terms of autonomous email sending if.
Leon: True.
Ekke: Had all that okay well that's nice ideas um and um a lot of room for contribution there.
Leon: Yeah totally agree,
Leon: um talking about contribution and there's 1 thing I've came across in the forums which was pretty funny to think about um somebody stated that they're looking for a solution to,
Leon: size down their email is that stable because usually when you're hosting modic or caring for a system that's 1 of the tables that tends to blow up in size.
Leon: Immensely and um he was talking about removing the tokens from each email that entry.
Ekke: No it was actually a feature which.
Leon: There was a feature oh then it was a feature is but um we we do have a plug-in in hand,
Leon: for for that exactly our housekeeping plug-in I think we've talked about it about 20 times already at least.
Ekke: Obviously not frequently enough.
Leon: Yeah um that's also compatible with modx7 down to modic 5 and it offers just that,
Leon: and you can clean your emails that entries all that and X days or whatever what you can also just clean out those tokens so this is your friendly reminder if you're out there
Leon: having issues housekeeping your modic we do have a plug-in
Leon: that works pretty good it comes with frequent updates for example the last bigger change we implemented on the last feature better said
Leon: is um that you can now optimize your tables using that um using our plug-in which also comes in pretty handy.
Ekke: Yeah yeah just to be clear it's not you just said it's just that it it's a ton of things everything that's not done by by the uh.
Ekke: Housekeeping that comes with modic core because in the core there are some some cleanup as well um,
Ekke: but there's a ton of things in this plug-in and of course it's free in GitHub.
Leon: To download it it's good I'll I'll skip your mic.
Ekke: Go to the show notes and you know what learn um I I think what we're talking here is a real hardcore stuff.
Leon: Yeah very nerdy.
Ekke: And we definitely need to get back to more marketing oriented content and there's so much of that out there um and.
Ekke: Maybe we should have like like little.
Ekke: Category or something to to make sure we have some valuable marketing tips or or how to use modic on the user level.
Ekke: Not only the new features but just plain old modic but get the best out of that like we have a workshop yesterday with a client where we discussed um marketing,
Ekke: strategy a little bit top down but but really brief in that case and uh then pretty much or pretty pretty quickly,
Ekke: focus and into 1 on certain flow which had to do with scoring Etc and a certain action items and but also um.
Ekke: Developing,
Ekke: score model and and uh uh waiting the the signals that we do into this score and it use use a point in or Point groups Point insights and all that to really,
Ekke: use scoring in in Practical life and they were super happy and I think that's the kind of content that might also be be a nice.
Leon: Yeah we should put it on a list and.
Ekke: Or maybe make a focus episode on that we'll see okay okay that's a promise we we do more of that and then uh I wanted to.
Ekke: Give a shout out to the people who are maintaining the documentation and they have a new version of the documentation of course and they are still looking for volunteers,
Ekke: to um make sure nothing is left in the old documentation which is still around of course and it's all well represented represented in the new documentation,
Ekke: so we'll put a link to the show notes to that call for volunteers and uh it's something that everybody can easily do you don't have to know every every piece of content in that just to make sure um.
Ekke: That nothing is left out.
Leon: Mhm.
Ekke: If you need people to help you understand uh whether this is left out intentionally or not yeah that's also organized the great thing is that's a perfect way to learn more to learn things that you never knew about modic.
Leon: Yeah I I totally agree I mean
Leon: from personal experience and the former being the team education lead which mainly cares for documentation um I just can't save from my point of view everybody loves a good documentation but it needs people to write that too.
Leon: And it's I mean everybody who's out there saying oh this is missing from documentation or why is this not updated or why is this.
Ekke: You're welcome.
Leon: You're very welcome to uh also contribute and uh yeah make the world a better place and that.
Ekke: No yeah exactly yeah,
Ekke: oh okay um and uh well I think that's a nice sequel from from learning from documentation over to proving what you learned through,
Ekke: certification and here we go with the interview it is of course with Ruth chisley who is our project lead in the modic project and,
Ekke: was also very much involved in this uh effort to get the certification started and eventually landed.
Interview: Okay so to uh tell us all about the new certification I have the pleasure to welcome Ruth to the show actually to welcome her back to the show and tell us uh.
Interview: We need to know hello Ruth welcome hello thank you for having me back eki hey it was a pleasure um.
Interview: Uh it took a couple of months in the in the beginnings I was a little bit involved and have to admit I not totally up to date what it is today so I'm,
Interview: excited myself and uh maybe you can give us some some baseline what what is this certification who is a good for why should I take it.
Interview: Yeah sure so this is something that we've been wanting to introduce in mic for many years I I've had lots of conversations with people who've asked about this.
Interview: And the idea is that there will be a standard at which we can say this person is competent at doing something with mic,
Interview: and when we put this together we decided there would be 3 core areas that we wanted to focus on,
Interview: so 1 would be developers 1 would be marketers who are using mic and the other would be integrators who are,
Interview: putting more tic systems together and plumbing them all together with other with other systems so those are the 3 areas that you're going to be able to be able to be certified in and demonstrate that you meet a particular standard
Interview: that that mortach considers as being the standard for that kind of job role.
Interview: Uh so that's what we're in introducing and we're starting off with the developer track and then we will add the other tracks uh going forwards okay so um we expect,
Interview: to be live any day now I mean recording mid mid March um so know exact date but but High Hopes yes.
Interview: Yeah yeah so we're planning to launch mid-march uh with the developer track as I mentioned uh we we've been working with axelerant on this so they're the partner who we selected as a result of the request for proposals that we put out,
Interview: and so we've been working really closely together to to bring this into into being really uh working with an online proctoring tool called exam online,
Interview: so yeah assuming everything goes well and everything goes smoothly by the time this releases hopefully we will actually be live which is very exciting,
Interview: helping better understand what it is like or or starting with why why should I if I were a developer why would I want to take this.
Interview: Uh exam yeah I mean I think
Interview: whenever you take an exam there is obviously a process you need to go through to make sure that you don't have any gaps in your knowledge
Interview: and we have a really thorough curriculum that takes you through all of the things that you need to know so I believe like as a developer if I was working with mortach,
Interview: firstly this would actually challenged me to make sure that I do know all of these things but also from a professional standpoint it adds a bit of kudos to your profile if you can say I am a more Tech 6,
Interview: qualified developer for example uh you know people then understand that you've met that level of expertise you've done the exam you've passed the exam um so I think that's important and also
Interview: taking the exam you pay a bit of money to take the exam you're supporting the mortach project because the percentage of that comes back.
Interview: To the multi projects as well so there is also that kind of side of things it's okay that's that's also nice and from my um egoistic perspective as,
Interview: part of a company I have a feeling that I also want my developers to take back that exam to because it not for 1 thing it it,
Interview: completes their education it it might make a closed a lot of gaps and they force them to learn things that they.
Interview: Successfully work around in the past,
Interview: the other is that for us at the C company of course it's an important demonstration of our qualification.
Interview: And the other way around if I hire a freelancer I will also ask them going forward like like what's your uh certification level so yeah.
Interview: Yeah I think that's really important and in the future I could see you know potentially when people are putting out tenders that they would expect the people working on the project to be certified,
Interview: because it gives them that level of assurance that that person has actually met that standard and does know what they're talking about and certainly we've seen that in other open source communities who have certification programs
Interview: uh that they do put that in as a requirement for example in in tenders and rfps so I think that will also yeah yeah so the the the company
Interview: have at least 3 certified developers and 1 certified integrator or something like that right you know I've seen that a lot yeah.
Interview: Yeah yeah because it gives you that level of confidence that people are actually you know they do actually have that standard of knowledge oh cool no it's good,
Interview: um and you did bring up the curriculum and I did see it and I was pretty much blown away it's a very very.
Interview: In-depth thing it it explains the whole process but it also gives a lot of details in all those whatever 55,
Interview: areas of of question that you have no it's not really 55 so maybe that's a public resource right.
Interview: Yeah yeah that's a public resource it's a PDF which we will update over time if the curriculum changes or if there's small changes we need to make for example based on feedback
Interview: um it's around in terms of what we cover around 10% is set up and configuration,
Interview: around 30% on this exam is Advanced coding integration a 30% is around,
Interview: configuration for performance particularly because that's a big thing with more Tech and then 30% is scenario based question so like real world problem solving debugging case studies that kind of thing
Interview: so it is it does have different kinds of questions and it covers everything from the basics of like how you write plugins how you use the API how to build your own API endpoints
Interview: so it is quite rigorous,
Interview: we don't provide the actual training for that um certification we've given that as an opportunity for the community if people want to develop training targeted at this but we do give like you said a very thorough overview of,
Interview: what topics are going to be covered and links to resources for those particular areas so that people can find what they need to learn.
Interview: I would expect that over time there will actually be training providers that train towards this very certification,
Interview: um should they contact anybody if they aim to do that or just take the curriculum and do their best or.
Interview: What's your recommend yeah I think.
Interview: I would say it would be really helpful to know if you are planning on developing some training for the certification uh it would be really great for you to become a member of mortach as well if you're going to do that just to support maltic through,
Interview: uh the income that you make through that training um but there's no formal requirement to actually request can I make some training for this we haven't set that up so no it's open rather I think the other way around is there any would you give them any assistance.
Interview: Yeah yeah I mean if the training is of good quality and good standard then it's definitely something we would be willing to promote if they're a member of multaq for sure.
Interview: Very nice okay um now what if a new modic release comes out.
Interview: Yeah so it it takes quite a lot of effort to put these certifications together we have a huge Bank of questions and answers we have to have testers who review those to make sure they're accurate,
Interview: um so what we have decided to do with mortach is we will
Interview: release a new version of the certification when we go into long-term support with a new version of mortach so what that means is that all the features have been stabilized there's not going to be any more features so when we create the questions,
Interview: we know that we're uh developing the questions on a stable base,
Interview: uh so when you take the examination you'll be a mortach 6 qualified developer for example,
Interview: um and then it when mortach 7 long-term support comes out then we'll have a version for mortach 7 when mortach 8 long-term support comes out there'll be a new version for mortach 8,
Interview: um which is quite relevant because for developers the code does change quite a bit between major versions but also for marketers there's entire new features that we need to make sure that we're covering.
Interview: So the the modic 6 certification does not expire other than than modic 6 is eventually obsolete.
Interview: Yeah that's right we decided not to have like a 1 year expiration or anything like that we thought it was actually better for our our users and better for Mk if it was just that you're certified in that
Interview: a major release no no I love that very good yeah okay and finally uh what price point are we talking about
Interview: so the base price is $150 but we're using the pro rating that we use everywhere else in maltic to apply the Big Mac index to that so it will go down proportionately based on the country in which you're based
Interview: uh and we're going to have a launch offer for the developer certification of 129 so it will be slightly cheaper if you take it in the first 2 to 3 months after we release the the certification like an early bird if you like,
Interview: okay so I guess we'll put the link to the curriculum but also to the launch offer into the show notes and I would,
Interview: encourage everybody to to give it a try really soon and I think the price point is super attractive um,
Interview: and definitely we'll do it here with with our developers and I can't wait for the integrated track to come to become available as well yeah um.
Interview: Yeah and um I have to say I'm I'm,
Interview: I'm a big fan of this when when about a year ago this took well it just took off and and actually learned was was chosen as our partner and so I was very skeptical that this will.
Interview: Um take less than 12 months and um now we're here and um it's it's a big deal it's it's,
Interview: I'm I'm impressed I'm blown away and I want to say thank you to you personally because I know you have been involved a lot and but also to everybody else involved there.
Interview: Yeah definitely would say a big shout out to the team at accelerant particularly Jesh onam and pratik from accelerant they've been doing a massive amount of work behind the scenes and often we don't see that amount of work that's happening so,
Interview: big thank you yeah to everyone in the working group and all of our testers as well you know the people who said that they'd be willing to,
Interview: review the questions give feedback on the answers and make sure they're actually appropriate answers to the questions that a developer would answer
Interview: um because that's a huge amount of work as well and they've done that as volunteers which has been hugely appreciated they're the people who get to be like number 1 number 2 number 3 on the exams so the first few people to take the exams because obviously they've seen all the questions so,
Interview: no but that that's a fair deal that if you put in all the work you you are I don't know are you Auto automatically certified or.
Interview: Yeah basically yeah they get like 001 I know I was talking to some developers at the mortach World Conference and they were like I want to be the first person to sit the exam and I'm like sorry you won't get number 1 certificate maybe number 7 then you're Maybe
Interview: yeah yeah and maybe 007 okay okay um very very good um anything else.
Interview: No I don't think so then we'll we'll be launching with the developer qualification and pretty soon after that we will be launching the marketer and the integrator uh qualifications
Interview: we are always up for people who want to help us with reviewing those questions like I mentioned we have a small batch of people who've signed up to do the marketer 1 but we will need people to help with the integrator 1 so if you if you are,
Interview: in that category like you're doing Integrations and stuff uh and you'd like to volunteer some time that would be a really great way to contribute to more Tech,
Interview: cool yeah and it would like to add that in the beginning there there will still be questions that do not work out,
Interview: very well and so if you are taking the exam and are not happy with some of the questions feel free to give us a feedback as well,
Interview: because we want to learn from your feedback or I guess working group will want to learn from your feedback that's totally national natural don't be annoyed we're going to get better over time.
Interview: Yeah I mean we have done quite a thorough review we've had 3 people review every question,
Interview: uh but yeah we have a a help desk which we can put the notes in the show notes as well where if people are having problems with registering or with paying or they've found a question that they don't think was answered right,
Interview: uh you can submit that and give us feedback which is going to be acted on pretty swiftly so wow yeah thanks for mentioning that yeah yeah very good okay,
Interview: goody um yeah I can't wait and especially integrator comes up soon and I'm in line.
Interview: Awesome yeah yeah thank you so much for your time Ruth you're welcome talk to you soon bye bye bye.
Leon: Damn also quite looking forward to the certification Aki are you going to try it.
Ekke: Maybe not the developer certification but definitely the integrator which is up to be launched next and,
Ekke: to be honest to be honest the the.
Ekke: Questions are big deal of documentation of certification but everything around it uh all the technical process and the organizational processes Etc,
Ekke: the those were the bigger deal for developer and that's of course the very same for for the other like like integrator and editor certification so that's all in place we now only have to care about the questions.
Leon: Yeah we get it sorted out I'd say um we we sent our own devs to the certification and then we report next episode about how it went.
Ekke: Yeah maybe we can do a little interview or or or testimonial with with yonas for instance.
Leon: Sure.
Ekke: Cool um let's quickly touch some some Community things um.
Ekke: Uh just a little pointer to uh the tell us your favorite feature um initiative um there's.
Ekke: There's a call for for people who want to highlight something in more like like I did for instance for,
Ekke: uh doing smart things with Dynamic content and and uh specifically with uh Dynamic web content and uh so,
Ekke: this thing is is obviously used for um highlighting these these things in in the Modi website or wherever,
Ekke: and then pointing people to things and and making clear how valuable things are so if you there's a a thing in more or a way to more use more dick or 1 of more features uh that you are
Ekke: specifically fund fond of or proud of or whatever uh just fill in this little form and uh we'll all appreciate it thank you very much.
Leon: Kind of cool talking about things to appreciate there's been new report the year in review now for 2025 too
Leon: which is like a yearly Roundup wrap up um and it's really rough to read every year,
Leon: I mean it's they have once a year but it's really giving you like a nice feedback overview over the last 12 months.
Ekke: Um uh,
Ekke: little side note a little shout out to our friends at Friendly in Switzerland uh who also do this open starter reporting in the year in review and uh,
Ekke: they had a very nice mention of of ours of our,
Ekke: the light light fire team and and even a photo of the together get together that we did uh so thank thanks for that thanks for that and a lot of love to Switzerland.
Leon: Really cool I greatly remember them reading here.
Ekke: Uh then looking forward to into the future and.
Ekke: Future November of this year uh that's when modic World Conference,
Ekke: 2026 is coming back to London and uh the early bird bird is now open so if you already know you want to go there this is your time to uh grab your ticket for a much better rate
Ekke: and we linked to that in the show notes as well it's a more decent modic dot org.
Leon: Yeah and just not looking to the future but also back to the last modicon
Leon: um the videos of the last modicon 2025 are now slowly but surely coming onto YouTube so there will be a link in the show notes pointing to the playlist and I think on
Leon: weekly base they will be coming more and more videos.
Ekke: No no no even more frequently this is like like a drip drip drip drip.
Leon: I thought I'd drip drip not,
Leon: okay then on the daily basis you will get new content and very valuable talks from the mod 25 check it out.
Ekke: So for from looking to the future and past and to make your head spin even more I want to get back to the starting of this episode where and and,
Ekke: and yeah and and remind everybody once again of the fundraiser it's super important so do the best that you can and give give some money for this really good cause and the community and the product that we all love.
Leon: Exactly.
Ekke: Make it better or help others making it better.
Leon: Make it happen.
Ekke: Okay thanks everybody for today to talk to you soon and uh yeah stay safe thank you.
